Federico Pigni, the sixth New Dean of Faculty at GEM, elected in July 2020, has now fully taken on his new functions. He is the third Dean to be elected and his plans are shaped by his vision

His vision

“Our school faculty is a strong collective that surprises with its agility, adaptability, energy and ability to innovate. I want to get involved in the development of our differences and strengths by actively contributing to overcoming the obstacles and uncertainties of the current context. The analyses of our differentiators, our strategy, and the capitalization of our collective experiences have shaped the three principles that define my project for our faculty:

“1/ To build on the collective engagement and thus empower the faculty at GEM to act ‘glocally’ (think global, act local strategy).

2/ To focus on transparency and simplification of the organization at GEM so that faculty are aware of who does what, how we operate and how decisions are made.

3/ To implement the conditions required for GEM faculty to excel both individually and collectively in research, pedagogy, engagement and societal impact, so that “we can drink our own champagne.” Explains Pigni.
