High-level athletes: 165 students and 112 graduates

Women's Football World Cup, Roland Garos Tournament, Tour de France cycling, Men's Rugby World Cup, World Handball Championships... It is game on in 2019! The Grenoble Ecole de Management, Institute of Sport and Management supports high-level athletes in their dual projects.

“The identity of the Grenoble area is closely linked to sports and has been for a very long time. If the reference to the 1968 Olympic Games seems obvious, it is necessary to go back a little further in time to associate the city's development with its athletic character. Grenoble's identity is also, of course, innovation and diversity; for these reasons, the hosting of the Women's World Cup this June is a clear reflection of the identity of the capital of the Alps. This is also what explains the creation of the Institut Sport & Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management. The national and international ambition of the institute cannot be excluded from its local roots: supporting top-level athletes also means bringing together a group of economic partners sensitive to the evolution of the athletes’ careers and the strength of their reputation, at the service of their companies and the region.”

François Leccia, Director of the Sport and Management Institute (IS&M) of Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM))

2 programs, 165 students in training courses and 112 graduates

The Sport and Management Institute was created in 2007 at GEM. It currently offers three additional programs from post-baccalaureate to bac+3:*

Each program is validated by a diploma recognized by the State

The Institute of Sport and Management is surrounded by a network of partners who are key players in the field: the National Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP), the Circle of Swimmers from Marseille, the Nantes Educational Center for Athletes (CENS 44), FC Grenoble Rugby (FCG), the Syndicate of the Association of Professional Handball Players (AJPH) ... and counts among its high-level sports graduates Vincent Gérard (Handball), Romain Bardet (Cycling), Eddy Ferhi (Ice Hockey), Fabien Gengenbacher (Rugby) and Gautier Supper (Climbing).
